About it
From Lovetovisit's listing
Dive into fascinating history in the centre of Oxford Whether you come as a family or with a group of friends looking to unravel 1,000 years of chilling stories, you’ll find them at Oxford Castle & Prison. You can’t help but be transported back all that time ago when you come face-to-face with the intriguing residents (your guides for the day), hearing the tales of romance, betrayal and executions that occurred here. They’ll take you from one magnificent relic of the past to another, from crypts to tower tops and in between them all, intrigue you with stories of the past. It only takes one step into the 900-year-old crypt to realise just how fascinating and ancient Oxford’s history is. As you descend below ground, you’ll get to hear how the renowned Oxford education is thought to have started here. Ready to meet the residents? We think the colourful pastimes of those who lived at Oxford Castle will keep you on your toes throughout the one-hour experience. Get to know the likes of Anne Green, who survived her own hanging in 1650. She miraculously made a full recovery after showing signs of life after the execution, going on to have three more children and live for another nine years. You’ll also get to meet John and Elizabeth Lilburne, a husband and wife who were both strong campaigners for English people’s rights. John smuggled a letter to Elizabeth from behind bars at the castle in 1642, stating his trial for treason would start the following week.…

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: Lovetovisit and Viator. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Oxford: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
