About the event

From See Tickets's listing

What if music could help plants grow? Inspired by the cult 1976 album Plantasia by pioneering electronic composer Mort Garson, this immersive new performance is a celebration of analogue synthesis, collective creation, botanical inspiration and the enduring relevance of Garson's work - reimagined for now, and for Sheffield. Created specifically to be played to houseplants, Plantasia became famous for its unconventional distribution: copies were initially given away with the purchase of mattresses and houseplants, and quietly cultivated a devoted following. Musically directed by Lou Barnell and Zebedee C. Budworth, this performance draws on the warmth and unpredictability of classic analogue synthesizers. Lucy Haighton brings a physical element to the performance. Drawing on her lived experience of ME/CFS, the performance reflects on adaptation, fragility, recovery and the often unseen processes of growth. Additional Ticket info: Accessible & Carer tickets - please note this ticket includes 1 assistant or carer. We assume 2 people will attend on this ticket. Access information:Wheelchair access to the Drama Studio is via the accessible entrance off Shearwood Road to the left hand side of the theatre. This access leads directly into the auditorium and to the wheelchair positions at the front of the seating block. There is an accessible toilet at this level to the right of the auditorium.…

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Sheffield: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
