About the event
From See Tickets's listing
WITHERED HAND is a great songwriter. Dan Willson, also known by his stage name Withered Hand, is an Edinburgh-based indie rock musician. Great singer, great songwriter His first studio album, Good News, was released in 2009 in Scotland, and re-released in 2011 on Absolutely Kosher Records in the United States. His second album, titled New Gods, was released in March 2014 through Fortuna Pop Records in the UK and Slumberland Records in the USA. He performed at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas in 2011 and 2014 as part of the Scottish Showcase. His third solo album, How To Love, was released in 2023. PLASTERED self-describe as 'three dudes from York making sad girl music' although, on this occasion, it will just be the vocalist and keyboardist. Expect aching melodies and tasteful accompaniment! WOLF SOLENT's music has been described as 'brilliant... all the hallmarks of a bedroom-based project - low-key, lo-fi slowcore with pedals, sequenced backing and drum machine. Switching his acoustic guitar for an electroacoustic 12-string, he conjures a swirling drone by way of a backdrop to his drawling vocals, delivered while hiding behind beard and hair'. Sound alright, right? Right! LOVE QUOKKA has songs about people, animals and love: York-based two piece featuring members of Knitting Circle and Milky Wimpshake. Fulfordgate Social Club offers a friendly and welcoming environment. The gig room has two toilet cubicles which can be used by anyone who needs them.…

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in York: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
