About the Book(s). Every story is narrated by six-year-old Ruby Thumb, whose dad runs the local dinosaur museum - and hides an even bigger secret. In Dino Dad, Ruby discovers that she and her father are "POOPAs" (Protectors Of Our Prehistoric Allies), and that a magic ammonite shell can transform them into dinosaurs and whisk them to Dinotropolis, an island where dinosaurs live just like people. In Dino Dad: Ice Age, the pair rescue a stranded baby woolly mammoth and thaw out a frozen Dinotropolis before it's too late. Dino Dad: Big School Talent Show sees Ruby spend a nerve-wracking but hilarious week at Pangea's Largest Outstanding Prehistoric School (PLOPS), taking part in the school talent show with more than a few surprises along the way. In Dino Dad: Mystery of the Missing Egg, Ruby becomes a real-life dino detective, teaming up with her dad to track down a missing fossilised dinosaur egg and uncover something amazing. Each book stands alone but builds on the same lovable cast, making this collection an ideal way to follow Ruby and her dad through their funniest escapades, with short chapters and lively illustrations that keep newly independent readers turning the pages..
