About it

Six cute little jars, each containing 8 wildflower seed balls for growing in a pot or garden. A super present for people who love wildlife and nature - easy to grow wildflowers that also help bees and butterflies. Each jar contains 8 seed balls (covers 2-3 pots) of one type of flower including Chamomile, Corn Marigold, Cornflower, Poppy, Forget-me-not and Buttercup. Can be gifted as a full set or split up for table gifts, teachers, friends and colleagues.Seed balls are easy to use and there's no need to dig, no green thumbs required! Simply scatter on top of soil in a pot or window box or garden bed and let nature take over. Regular watering will help them grow faster.Scatter anytime from early Autumn through to the end of Spring. Each ball contains between 10-100 seeds depending on the variety, brief instructions included on the back of the jar. The includes one each of buttercup, poppy, cornflower, corn marigold, forget-me-not and corn chamomile. See image reel for pictures of the flowers :) We make the balls at our Seedball workshop in London, from a mixture of UK wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The outer clay protects the seeds from ants, birds and mice, and once sufficient water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside begin to germinate - helped along by the nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder continues to deter slugs and snails while the seed ball slowly degrades and the seeds sprout.Wildflowers are naturally slow to grow and the balls can take 2-4 weeks to begin to sprout. Some will flower in the first year and others may not flower until the second year, but the display should keep getting better each year! The more they are initially watered, the quicker they will be to start to grow, although they will be ok to leave them to the rain to water them as well :)Our seed balls (or seed bombs as some people call them) are perfect gfts for gardeners, mums, grandparents and anyone who loves nature whethe
