About the event

From See Tickets's listing

After a number of years, we are delighted to host the sublime and unique Nathan Salsburg in Sussex. Mid Sussex Music Hall will be the perfet listening room to host him. Nathan Salsburg is one of his generation's most gifted and idiosyncratic acoustic guitarists. Since 2011, when the first of his eight solo albums was released, he has quietly established a style marked by a depth and a complexity wholly his own, drawing on abiding interests in minimalism, rural American vernacular musics, and the work of British folk revivalists like Dick Gaughan, Dolly Collins, and Nic Jones. He's a frequent collaborator of songwriter-singer Joan Shelley [his wife] and Chicago multi-instrumentalist James Elkington, and has contributed to recordings by Shirley Collins, Bonnie "Prince" Billy, the Weather Station, and Jake Xerxes Fussell, among others. For twenty years Salsburg served as curator of the digital Alan Lomax Archive.

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Brighton: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
