About the event
From See Tickets's listing
"A theatrical indie pop band that embrace's life's misinterpretations and messiness...their noise-pop jams remain as joyful as ever" - Pitchfork "The Spook School are that rare and beautiful thing: a band with something to say." - The Guardian "Societal norms and gender stereotypes are in the crosshairs of these threadbare tunes...trans love songs that hit home no matter your orientation." - NPR "Dance music for introverts, love songs for people who are too shy to be in love" - Stereogum The Spook School are Nye Todd (guitar/vocals), Adam Todd (guitar/vocals), Ally (AC) Cory (bass/vocals) and Niall McCamley (drums). They are a queer indie-pop band that began in Edinburgh in 2010. After nearly a decade they concluded their initial chapter in 2019, but they are back (and living in Glasgow)! Their music explores themes of gender identity, queerness, and self-acceptance through energetic, melodic pop that blends humour with emotional honesty. Over the years, The Spook School became known for using indie-pop as a platform for trans visibility, inclusion, and joy. They released three albums - on record labels Fortuna POP! and Alcopop Records in the UK and Europe, Tugboat Records in Japan, and Slumberland Records in North America - and toured extensively across the UK, USA, Canada and Europe. Their songs reached audiences worldwide, with over five million streams for the single I Want to Kiss You.…

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Brighton: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
