About the event

From See Tickets's listing

Folklore Sessions Presents; Toria Wooff + SupportMarch 21st 2027 The Folklore Rooms | 18+£12advFollowing her acclaimed self-titled debut album, championed by the likes of Uncut, Clash, Shindig, Record Collector, BBC Radio 6 and Radio X, Toria Wooff (Tor-ee-a Woo-f) enters a darker and more assured chapter with her second album, Aleister. Across eleven brooding folk songs, tape-saturated textures, drones, vintage keyboards, orchestral flourishes and richly detailed acoustic instrumentation surround a voice capable of moving from hushed intimacy to startling intensity. On stage, that atmosphere takes on a life of its own. Whether playing solo or joined by her closeknit band, Wooff's live show expands the strange, shadowy world of her records without losing the restraint at the heart of the songs. Fingerpicked acoustic guitar, spectral keys, textured strings and understated ensemble playing gather around Wooff's commanding vocal, allowing moments of near silence to sit alongside passages of sweeping, darkly cinematic intensity. The result is a performance that owes as much to the peculiar atmosphere of late-sixties and seventies British and Irish folk recordings as it does to contemporary songwriting. Folk tradition collides with gothic literature, northern landscapes brush against the occult. Deeply personal experiences sit comfortably beside ancient mythology, Wooff's stories feeling both intimate but also timeless.

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Brighton: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
