About the event

From See Tickets's listing

TOM BROWNE 'Funkin' For Jamaica' 2027 Tour with THE BRIT FUNK ASSOCIATION Legendary Jazz Funk R&B trumpeter Tom Browne flies in from the USA to perform with The Brit Funk Association for the 'Funkin' For Jamaica' 2027 Tour. "It's Tom's believability in any musical style, his ability to communicate" George Benson Tom Browne came to fame in 1979 with the 'Browne Sugar' album on GRP Records. The following year he has a worldwide hit with 'Funkin' For Jamaica' which is still a dance floor staple for DJ's everywhere. Further classics 'Thighs High (Grip Your Hips and Move)', 'Fungi Mama', 'Let's Dance', 'Bye Gones' and more followed. Tom Browne has released over 20 solo projects with his latest single 'Impulse' out now. Tom Browne has worked with Bob James, Dave Gruisin, Roy Ayers, Joe Sample, Melba Moore, Lonnie Smith, Marcus Miller, Patti Austin, Bernard Wright, Weldon Irvine, Sonny Fortune, Lesette Wilson and a host of others. The Brit-Funk Association are an all-star Brit Funk Supergroup featuring former members of Beggar & Co, Hi-Tension, Light of the World, & Incognito. With a core of Kenny Wellington, Breeze McKrieth, Paul McLean and Patrick McLean, The Brit Funk Association perform from each of the band's extensive back catalogue tracks such as 'Time', 'Im So Happy', 'London Town' and 'I Shot The Sheriff' by Light of the World, 'Somebody (Help Me Out)' and 'Mule Chant #2' by Beggar & Co, 'Hi-Tension' and 'British Hustle', by Hi Tension. An AGMP Concerts presentation.

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Cambridge: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
