About it

From Viator's listing

Escape the overcrowded Royal Mile and enjoy an intimate, personal tour of Edinburgh's hidden gems with a friendly local guide! On this relaxed walking tour you'll encounter the best of Edinburgh - an historic neighbourhood (Dean Village) with architecture dating back to the 1600's, historic monuments, quirky local cafes, quaint hidden alleyways and streets and you'll walk along the city's only river. There might even be a waterfall and if you are really lucky, you might even see local otters, right in the middle of the city! Book this tour if you want to get away from the tourist crowds and experience something a bit more "local". Perfect for anyone who's seen the Old Town.

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: Viator. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Edinburgh: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
