About the event
From See Tickets's listing
Hayden Thorpe performs the Wild Beasts songbook for the first time in almost 9 years. Playing entirely solo, the shows will be an exploration of the much-loved collection in its purest form-voice and instrument, as they were written. 'I'm fortunate enough that in my daily life I will quite often encounter a kind soul who'll tell me how much a certain Wild Beasts song, album, or show has meant to them. I've come to learn that as time passes, the heart's connections do not fade, and the potency of the music remains strong. I've been missing the songs myself of late, so it felt like a ripe time to reach for the high notes and call on my hand's muscle memory. It's a full-circle manoeuvre as the dates perfectly align with the 20th anniversary of Wild Beasts' first single release, 'Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyants'. The venue choices are also very deliberate. Each room played an important role in the history of the band. Brewery Arts was our cultural HQ growing up in Kendal, Hoxton Hall was the scene of a breakthrough show for our second album 'Two Dancers', and Brudenell Social Club will always be where we came of age as musicians. 'I'm thrilled to be taking this moment to celebrate the shared history we all have with Wild Beasts music.' - Hayden Thorpe

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Exeter: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
