About the event

From See Tickets's listing

Mary Coughlan + Special Guest TBC "Honey-voiced Irish National Treasure" MOJO Magazine "Mary is a living link between Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse" Uncut Magazine Mary Coughlan is often described as the greatest female vocalist that Ireland has ever produced, standing alongside some of the world's most iconic jazz singers. She is unique in blending whisky-blurred, smoke-seared, husky notes with the laconic wit of Billie Holiday and Peggy Lee. She draws the line of deep, down and dirty blues singers back to Bessie Smith with the sardonic, bitter-sweet defiance and despair of Edith Piaf. Yet Mary Coughlan delivers it all in a delicious and unapologetic Irish drawl: sceptical, rueful, mournful and melting and ardent for love. Mary Coughlan is one of our greatest singers because over 40 years she has made the most grown-up, uncompromising, wholly personal yet utterly universal music on either side of the Atlantic about what goes on between men and women.

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Exeter: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
