About the event
From See Tickets's listing
Malt Room Standing One of the most unique and enjoyable live dub acts on the planet, Zion Train's use of dynamic onstage dub mixing whilst performing alongside acoustic instruments and exceptional vocalists make this group one of a kind. Zion Train were initially formed in Oxford as a sound system in 1988 by Neil Perch and Ben Hamilton. Colin Cod and Dave Tench joined in 1990 upon relocation to London. The original line-up was added to with vocalist Molara in 1992. Their initial releases were the 7? singles Power One and Power Two, which became hits on the dub scene in the early 1990s. In 1992 they released the groundbreaking Follow Like Wolves single, which fused dub and acid house styles and spawned their reputation as innovators. In the 21st century the band have released a Jamaican Grammy winning album Live As One (Universal Egg 2007) , alongside several other albums and remix albums - the latest of which is the 2021 released Illuminate In Dub. Zion Train have always prided themselves on working in autonomous, politically active environments alongside agitators and activists attempting to put the energy of their music to the best possible uses. How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in the Lake District: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
