About it

From Viator's listing

For such a beautiful picturesque market town, Oakham is an unexpectedly dark and grim history that most people are oblivious to today despite. On this tour we will learn about some of the actual dark history of Oakham, the people who lived and died here... one man who lived, died and lived again! Oakham has Britains oldest court, the only operational gallows in the country and a fantastic set of Stocks in market square. We will visit various spots of executions and see the evidence that remains today. Murders, ghosts, corporal punishments and much more. It's a private tour so runs at a time that works for you but to see the Oakham Castle Court and nearby functional gallows we have to be underway by 3pm.

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: Viator. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Leicester: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
