About the event
From See Tickets's listing
Table reservations from 6pm Live Music: 8.30pm "Haynes' voice is nothing short of mesmerising. A standout talent in her own right." - UK Soul Review "A soulful powerhouse." - Evening Standard Aretha Franklin is dangerous territory for any singer. The songs demand more than a big voice, they need gospel instinct, soul phrasing and the confidence to hold back before letting the room have it. Vanessa Haynes has that equipment. Best known as a long-time lead vocalist with Incognito, Haynes brings serious soul credentials to the stage. Her career includes work with Van Morrison, Chaka Khan, Billy Ocean, Lulu, Anastacia, Leon Ware, Mario Biondi and Dave Stewart, alongside more than 14 years touring internationally with one of Britain's most respected jazz-funk bands. Backed by a full live band, she takes on Aretha's great songbook with the respect and nerve it deserves. Expect "Respect", "(You Make Me Feel Like a) Natural Woman", "I Say a Little Prayer", "Chain of Fools", "Think" and "Day Dreaming", songs built on gospel roots, deep soul and absolute emotional command. This is a proper singer meeting proper material, with enough grit, control and feeling to make the tribute worth the name. How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in London: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
