About the event
From See Tickets's listing
Widowspeak is an American indie-rock and dream pop trio that have been crafting hazy, lazy-afternoon soundtracks since 2010, hailing from Brooklyn, New York, U.S. Initially based out of Tacoma, Washington, singer-songwriter Molly Hamilton and drummer Michael Stasiak were beginning to make a name for themselves before moving to the Big Apple in 2010. With the addition of guitarist Robert Earl Thomas, the group, armed with a laptop microphone and GarageBand, starting crafting a six-track promotional cassette. Later named “The October Tape” after the month of its release, the cassette generated significant online buzz for the band who ultimately signed with Captured Tracks. In March 2011 Captured Tracks issued Widowspeak’s official debut single “Harsh Realm”, combining dark and soaring lead guitar with candid, indie-pop lyricism. The single “Gun Show” followed in June 2011, after which the group released its debut, self-titled album in August. Recorded with Woods’ Jarvis Taveniere, the record earned the group a considerable fan base and was supported by a host of shows and festival appearances. Widowspeak’s sophomore album, “Almanac”, once again on Captured Tracks, was released in January 2013. Taking their sound in a more folk-driven direction, the record was produced by Kevin McMahon, known for his work with Swans and Real Estate, and is an upbeat, shimmeringly summer playlist.…

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Manchester: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
