About it

From Viator's listing

Celebrate the history, culture and exciting future of Media City & Salford Quays on this fact-filled 5km walking tour. Meeting under the big digital screen at the Media City piazza, this healthy outdoor walk takes us alongside the banks of the mighty Manchester Ship Canal and relives the epic tale from Manchester's starring role in the Industrial Revolution to its reinvention at the heart of the UK's media and technology revolution. Discover hidden gems of information as you marvel at the stunning landmarks and listen as your guide brings the fascinating history to life. The tour takes you past many stunning landmarks such as the Lowry Arts Centre and the Imperial War Museum North, before returning to the Media City piazza where it all began. The walk beautifully showcases the UK's most ambitious urban regeneration project from its industrial heritage to its digital future. Brought to you by Quayside Walking Tours, this captivating tour is one of the North's must-do experiences!

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: Viator. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Manchester: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
