About the event

From See Tickets's listing

* More wows from Wandering Oak here * Confronting 2026, hope can seem in short supply, as the most divisive and toxic voices worldwide are amplified amidst an ever rising temperature of conflict and alienation. Yet hope is abundant in 'Losey', the sixth release on Rocket Recordings from the mercurial duo Gnoomes. Here, all they've encountered forms fuel for transcendence in musical form. Just as this couple have taken a bold step into the unknown by leaving Russia and moving to Slovenia, so their music has followed suit and thrown off all shackles to flourish in a defiant show of vibrant and revivifying colour."The life of an immigrant is a strange thing" says the bands Sasha Piankov "But luckily, that glow music brings us has never faded, even though the emotional landscape has definitely shifted. Living in the countryside, partially in isolation, gave us space to be ourselves. It helped reduce the constant background anxiety we'd carried for most of our lives. We often say that moving from Russia wasn't just a political decision, it was a nervous system decision."Yet whilst the music that Sasha and his creative and life partner Masha Piankova came up with is testimony to a liberating triumph against oppression and adversity, it also goes beyond. These luminous and life-affirming beyond-genre serenades speak to the manner in which physical constraints can give flight to songs that expand to untold dimensions.

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Newcastle: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
