About the event
From See Tickets's listing
A solo show from BBC Radio 2 Folk Award-winning Sam Kelly - a musician, singer, songwriter, and producer from Norfolk, described by legendary folk broadcaster Mike Harding as 'one of my favourite singers ever' and by Cara Dillon as 'an amazing singer with so much soul'. Sam has become one of the most accomplished and well-respected performers on the UK folk scene so join us for this intimate night of music A captivating and versatile performer with impressive prowess as both a vocalist and instrumentalist, Sam showcases varied material from all the projects he has been involved with, with a sound that is strongly influenced by his Irish heritage. He sings songs in the English language as well as Cornish and Gaelic, and is known for his self-deprecating, cheeky humour and amusing anecdotes in between songs. Sam produces a top quality and engaging live show that is not to be missed. His band The Lost Boys are festival favourites across the UK and beyond, and as an accompanist on guitar and Irish bouzouki, Sam's portfolio includes playing with the likes of Kate Rusby, Seth Lakeman, John McCusker, Phil Beer, and Katherine Priddy. Sam has become respected by peers and audiences alike as a unique and innovative arranger and pioneer of traditional folk song, and alongside his 4 acclaimed solo records, he has produced albums by The Changing Room, Kitty Macfarlane, Chris Cleverley, Ainsley Hamill and more.…

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Preston: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
