About the event

From See Tickets's listing

When The Karma Effect was quietly born in the pandemic, vocalist Henry Gottelier could hear in his head how he wanted the project to sound. From the organic rootsy debut, followed by the show-stopping Promised Land, they now truly arrive with their third record. This is the album he dreamed of making: the most complete, crystal-clear realisation of their ambitions yet. It's leaner, louder, heavier, blazing with determination, and joyously larger-than-life. Although some line-up changes occurred in the background (which sees Nathan Keevil join them on bass, Alan Taylor on drums, and Tom Pitt on keys), a turn of events that could have left them on shaky ground has instead been spun into a silver lining. Brimming with energy and fresh perspectives, the newly assembled line-up convened at The Hive Rooms, in the locale of Gatwick Airport, to nail down what would become 'Cruel Intentions' in July 2025. "We holed up in there, locked the doors and didn't come out for a month," Henry jests. "I didn't see the sun that summer at all." He had brought his new colleagues sketches of the album's songs, and although their backbones largely remained as he had written them, they were sculpted by the hands of everyone in the band, making it, first and foremost, a collaborative effort capturing shards of everyone's style and personality. There are different shades to their sound on this outing. Henry's songwriting leans towards the observational more than the personal.…

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Sheffield: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
