It will be £5 on the door! *This is a standing show* "A true triumph for experimental, independent songwriting"Far Out Out 23rd October, Wild Troutflies is Reuben Pugh and Guy Godivala expanding their world. It may be a record formed in a London bedroom, but the ideas within are bigger than the four walls that originally housed them. Wild Troutflies continues the off-beat experimentation that has guided Pugh and Godivala throughout their musical journey but now finds them in a place to truly push on. Recorded in only a few days at Godivala's flat, this is a record that is bristling with constant new ideas across its 37-minute runtime. Throughout Wild Troutflies moments are relived, misremembered and revived - a consequence of the often sleep deprived state in which many of the songs were written. As such, it is a journal entry of sorts with the most unreliable of narrators at its helm; a captivating and compelling collection of vignettes. Wild Troutflies is the moment between the light going off and the start of a dream. It is waking up sweating with your walls covered in tinsel and fairy lights. It's if Bill Callahan never left Knaresborough, or Smog.…

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in York: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
