About the event
From See Tickets's listing
Band of friends was formed by Gerry McAvoy in 2012. The original line-up consisted of Gerry on Bass guitar & vocals, Ted McKenna on drums & Marcel Scherpenzeel on guitar & vocals. From 2012 this line-up played all over Europe, with increasing success. They recorded 3 CD's "Too much is not enough" (2014) "Live n Kickin" (2016)"Repeat after me" (2017)In 2018 Gerry took Band of friends to the USA. With Ted McKenna on drums and introducing Guitar wizard Davy Knowles to front the band. They released a CD "Band of friends over America" in 2018Through 2018 the band toured the USA twice, to great success. Sadly Ted McKenna passed away in January 2019.In March 2019 the band returned to the US with Gerry, Davy and Mike Hansen on drums. Then November 2019 Gerry brought Brendan Oneill ( Rory Gallagher 1981-1991) on board for yet another US tour. The band were due to tour again March 2020, but sadly the world went into lockdown because of a global pandemic. Now that things are getting back to normal, we look forward to touring the USA again. BAND OF FRIENDS Gerry McAvoy played with Rory Gallagher from 1971 to 1991, playing on every Rory recording. Gerry also wrote his biography "Riding Shotgun" which was published in 2015.Brendan Oneill played with Rory Gallagher from 1981 to 1991.Brendan also wrote his biography (Meet Mr Sticks) published on 2020Davy Knowles hails from the Isle of Man, a small island in the Irish sea between England and Ireland.…

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Cardiff: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
