TTfone: what to know before you buy

Choosing between feature phones and simple Android models

TTfone's range covers more than one style of phone. The big-button models suit anyone who mainly wants calls, texts and a clear keypad, while the 4G and Android-powered devices add a touchscreen and apps such as WhatsApp. Work out first whether you need a true feature phone or a simpler smartphone, because that decision matters more than any individual model name.

Think about who will use the phone

The brand's large, tactile keys and high-contrast screens are aimed at older users and people with reduced dexterity or sight. Some of its phones also list speed dial, an SOS button and Bluetooth for hearing aids, so check the specification of the exact model against what the person actually needs before buying.

Understand UK delivery and returns

TTfone offers three UK delivery speeds: standard, expedited and express. Standard delivery is free and takes 4 to 7 working days, while the faster options carry an extra charge. Rural addresses may take longer. Returns for faulty or damaged items must be reported within 14 calendar days, and most items can be returned within 14 days of receipt if you change your mind, provided they are in good condition.

Check the warranty before buying

The brand's homepage refers to a two-year warranty on selected models, so confirm it applies to the phone you are considering. Keep the original packaging and accessories if you may need to return the device.
