About the event

From See Tickets's listing

Treat yourself to an unforgettable evening of classical music in the stunning setting of St Giles' Cathedral in the heart of Edinburgh's Royal Mile. The acclaimed Piccadilly Sinfonietta, joined by renowned concert pianist Warren Mailley-Smith, will include a performance of Schumann's ever-popular Piano Concerto. This exceptional work is one of the crowning achievements of Schumann's genius and hearing it live, in such an atmospheric setting, is an experience that will stay with you long after the final note. The programme also includes Elgar's much loved Serenade for StringsProgrammeElgar - Serenade for StringsSchumann - Piano Concerto in A minorFeaturingThe Piccadilly SinfoniettaWarren Mailley-Smith, pianoSince its founding in 2017, The Piccadilly Sinfonietta has dazzled audiences across the UK with over 200 performances each year. Comprising some of the finest classical musicians in the country, the ensemble is known for its virtuosity, elegance, and emotional depth. Under the artistic direction of Warren Mailley-Smith, the group brings the great concertos of the baroque, classical, and early romantic eras to life. Warren Mailley-Smith has captivated audiences nationwide with his expressive playing, effortless technique, and magnetic stage presence. In 2015, he gained international recognition for his remarkable feat of performing the complete solo piano works of Chopin from memory-an achievement that speaks volumes of his artistry and dedication.

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Edinburgh: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
