About the event
From See Tickets's listing
AGMP Concerts proudly presents FRED WESLEY & THE NEW J.B.'S Fred Wesley and The J.B.'s were one of the most influential funk bands of the 1970s, helping define the revolutionary sound of James Brown and laying the foundations for funk, disco, hip-hop and modern dance music. Led by legendary trombonist, arranger and bandleader Fred Wesley, The J.B.'s featured an extraordinary collection of musicians, including Maceo Parker, Jimmy Nolen, Clyde Stubblefield and John 'Jabo' Starks. Their explosive horn arrangements, infectious basslines and tightly interlocking rhythms created some of the greatest grooves in soul and funk history. Alongside their work with James Brown, the band released a string of classic recordings, including Pass the Peas, Gimme Some More, Doing It to Death, Damn Right I Am Somebody, Breakin' Bread and Blow Your Head. Their 1973 hit Doing It to Death reached #1 on the American R&B chart and remains a definitive funk anthem. Fred Wesley later joined George Clinton's Parliament-Funkadelic collective, further cementing his reputation as one of funk's greatest musical innovators. The J.B.'s recordings became essential to rare groove, acid jazz and funk scenes, while their unmistakable rhythms and horn breaks were sampled extensively by hip-hop pioneers including Public Enemy, Eric B. & Rakim and De La Soul amongst many others.…

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Leeds: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
