About the event
From See Tickets's listing
On March 24th 1986, BALAAM AND THE ANGEL released the single ‘She Knows’. Mark Morris, Jim Morris and Des Morris — vocalist and bassist, guitarist, and drummer respectively. Moving south from Scotland to the English Midlands, they formed Balaam and the Angel in the early 80s, borrowing the name from the Old Testament story of the prophet whose donkey was made to speak by an angel — a piece of Biblical mysticism that fitted the brooding atmosphere they were constructing around themselves. Where many bands of the era applied gothic trappings like a coat of paint, the Morris brothers seemed to arrive at them from a different angle entirely. Their early path was self-funded and self-directed. They set up their own Chapter 22 Records label and began releasing a series of 12-inch EPs: 'World of Light' in November 1984, followed by 'Love Me' and 'Day and Night' in 1985. These were lean, post-punk records with a psychedelic undercurrent that set them slightly apart from the more strictly monochrome end of the goth scene. A run of support dates for The Cult including the 'She Sells Sanctuary' tour of 1985 — sharpened their live act and helped raise their profile considerably. As that wider audience began to take notice, Virgin entered the picture, signing the band on the strength of what they'd already demonstrated they could do on their own terms.'She Knows; was among the first fruits of that major-label relationship, released on Virgin Records.…

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in London: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
