About it

From Viator's listing

Discover one of England's most beautiful historic cities on a private walking tour designed exclusively for your group. With your own knowledgeable local guide, explore Durham's winding medieval streets, UNESCO World Heritage landmarks, hidden lanes and spectacular riverside viewpoints while uncovering nearly 1,000 years of fascinating history. Rather than following a scripted route, your guide brings Durham to life through stories of prince bishops, pilgrims, students, miners, royalty and everyday local life. Along the way you'll discover how this compact city helped shape the history of England. As this is a private experience, the pace is entirely yours. Pause for photographs, ask as many questions as you like, or spend more time exploring the places that interest you most. Whether you're visiting Durham for the first time or returning to discover more, this tour offers an engaging introduction to one of Britain's finest historic cities.

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: Viator. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in Middlesbrough: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
