How to play Higher or Lower
Each day I pick a line of 11 real products from UK shops, the same for everyone. The first shows its price. Does the next one cost more or less? Tap Higher or Lower (or press the up or down arrow), see its price, and that one becomes the price to beat.
A wrong call doesn't end the line: everyone makes all 10 calls, so the day is out of 10 and scores compare. Each call gets right or wrong, and sharing your score shows only the squares, never the prices or which way they went. Next to each other, two prices are always at least 20% apart, so no call comes down to pennies. More on how the line is picked.

Is Higher or Lower free?
Yes. There's nothing to pay, nothing to win and no need for an account. Your record stays in your browser.
Does a wrong call end the game?
No. Everyone makes all 10 calls, so every score is out of 10 and scores compare.
When does the new line start?
At midnight UK time. Each day's line is picked the evening before, from 23:00, with the prices the shops listed then.
Can I play a line I missed?
Yes, for 7 days: today's and the 6 before it. After that, a line's page shows its eleven and their prices.
How do you work out how everyone did?
Each finished line is counted without your name, one per browser and per account. Once 20 people have finished a line, the end shows the average score and how many got each call right.
