You can cancel Netflix online. It ends at the end of the time you've paid for.

- Go to the Manage your membership page. You may need to sign in first.
- Tap or click Cancel.
- Under Cancel, tap or click Finish Cancellation.

Netflix keeps your Viewing Activity for 24 months after your account closes, so it’s there if you restart within that time.

Your rights
If you signed up online or by phone, you can usually cancel within 14 days of the day you signed up, without giving a reason.
Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 29
If you asked for it to start within those 14 days, you usually pay for what you had up to the day you told them you were cancelling.
Digital content, such as a film or a book you stream or download, is the exception: once it has started with your agreement, and you accepted that you'd lose the right to cancel, you usually lose those 14 days.
If Apple or Google Play bills you for it, you cancel it with them, not with the seller. On Google Play, deleting the app doesn't cancel it.
