How to cancel RHS Membership
You can cancel RHS Membership by phone or in writing. Your RHS benefits end on the day after your membership is cancelled.
Step by step
- Call the RHS Membership Department on 020 3176 5820 (weekdays 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays) or email [email protected] and ask to cancel.
- If you pay by Direct Debit, tell your bank and the RHS at least 10 working days before your renewal date, or it renews with no refund.

Your rights
If you signed up online or by phone, you can usually cancel within 14 days of the day you signed up, without giving a reason.
Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 29
If you asked for it to start within those 14 days, you usually pay for what you had up to the day you told them you were cancelling.
Digital content, such as a film or a book you stream or download, is the exception: once it has started with your agreement, and you accepted that you'd lose the right to cancel, you usually lose those 14 days.
If Apple or Google Play bills you for it, you cancel it with them, not with the seller. On Google Play, deleting the app doesn't cancel it.
