How to cancel RSPB membership
You can cancel RSPB membership by phone or in writing. It ends at the end of your minimum term.
Step by step
- Contact RSPB Supporter Services: call 01767 693680 (9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays) or email [email protected].
- Ask to cancel your membership; the RSPB says membership changes can’t be made online.
- If you pay by Direct Debit, cancel before your renewal date (with Supporter Services or by cancelling the Direct Debit), or it renews for 12 months.
- You can also write to Supporter Services, The RSPB, The Lodge, Sandy, Bedfordshire, SG19 2DL.

Leaving early
Every membership but Life is a 12-month commitment whatever the payment schedule, so you commit to the agreed contribution for the full year.
Refunds
No refunds except where the law requires; bought online or by phone, you may cancel within 14 days for a refund if you haven’t used it.

Your rights
If you signed up online or by phone, you can usually cancel within 14 days of the day you signed up, without giving a reason.
Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 29
If you asked for it to start within those 14 days, you usually pay for what you had up to the day you told them you were cancelling.
Digital content, such as a film or a book you stream or download, is the exception: once it has started with your agreement, and you accepted that you'd lose the right to cancel, you usually lose those 14 days.
If Apple or Google Play bills you for it, you cancel it with them, not with the seller. On Google Play, deleting the app doesn't cancel it.
