How to cancel Sky TV
You can cancel Sky TV by phone, by chat or in writing. Ends after 31 days' notice. On a 24-month term, notice ending before the term finishes means early termination charges, paid upfront.
Step by step
- Give Sky at least 31 days' notice: call 0344 824 4450 or use the messaging service on sky.com.
- Or give notice by email to [email protected], or by letter to Sky Subscriber Services Ltd, PO Box 43, Livingston, EH54 7DD. Sky will need to speak to you to verify your account.
- Your notice counts from the date Sky receives it. On a 24-month contract it can't end before your minimum term finishes, or early termination charges may apply.
- Don't cancel your Direct Debit or any other ongoing payment with Sky, as further payment may still be due (Sky bills a month in advance).
- When your subscription ends, return any Sky Stream pucks ordered after 23 February 2023 using the returns method Sky provides.

Notice
31 days' notice to cancel.
Leaving early
Leaving a 24-month term early may mean early termination charges, paid upfront; Sky tells you how much. 31-day rolling plans have no cancellation charges.
What you keep
Sky Glass stays yours (credit agreements carry on) but loses voice search and pause, rewind and fast forward; Stream pucks stop working.
Refunds
Within 31 days of delivery you pay for the days used and delivery; Sky refunds the rest within 45 days, plus any Stream puck set-up fee.

Your rights
If you signed up online or by phone, you can usually cancel within 14 days of the day you signed up, without giving a reason.
Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 29
If you asked for it to start within those 14 days, you usually pay for what you had up to the day you told them you were cancelling.
Digital content, such as a film or a book you stream or download, is the exception: once it has started with your agreement, and you accepted that you'd lose the right to cancel, you usually lose those 14 days.
If Apple or Google Play bills you for it, you cancel it with them, not with the seller. On Google Play, deleting the app doesn't cancel it.
