Store card Nectar

Nectar Signing in, the app, a lost card and Apple Wallet

Nectar is a points scheme run by Nectar 360 Ltd: you collect points at Sainsbury's, Argos, Esso and other partners, and spend them with partners including British Airways. At Sainsbury's you get 1 point per £1 (exclusions apply) and Nectar Prices, lower prices on hundreds of items when you scan your card. Register in the Nectar app or at nectar.com and you also get Your Nectar Prices: up to 10 personalised discounts a week.

Free. I keep your card's barcode ready for the till. I'm not Nectar's app, so I can't see your points.

I read these on Nectar's own help pages and terms on 13 October 2026. Each answer below has its sources.

How do I register my Nectar card and sign in?

Short answer: Join in app or online

Join in the Nectar app or at nectar.com by choosing 'Join Nectar' and giving your name, email, address and a password. To add a card you already have, log in, go to 'Account', choose 'Register Card' and enter the last 11 digits of the card number (everything after '3000'). Sign in at nectar.com/login, or in the app with 'Login with password' and your email address.

Is there a Nectar card app?

Short answer: Yes, the Nectar app

Yes, in the Nectar app: open it and your digital card's QR code is on the home screen, so face it towards the scanner when the till asks for Nectar (at Esso, and at Pay at Pump in Sainsbury's petrol stations, use the barcode in the app instead). It's a different app from Sainsbury's own app, where you link your Nectar card to collect and spend on online orders. Plastic cards are no longer handed out in Sainsbury's, its petrol stations or Argos stores, but an existing card still works and you can ask for one once you've registered.

I've lost my Nectar card. What do I do?

Short answer: Report it on live chat

Report a lost or stolen card to Nectar through live chat or on 0344 811 0811, and they'll help you from there. Meanwhile you can keep collecting and spending with the digital card in the Nectar app. A replacement comes with a new card number, which you'll need to link again anywhere the old one was linked, such as your Sainsbury's online account.

Can I add my Nectar card to Apple Wallet?

Short answer: Yes, from the Nectar app

Yes. In the Nectar app, tap the QR code on the home page, then tap 'Add to wallet' at the bottom of the screen and follow the on-screen instructions. If you added your card to Apple Wallet before the QR code version, remove the old one first and add it again the same way.

Where do I find my Nectar card number?

Short answer: App, nectar.com or the card

Your 11-digit card number is in the Nectar app, on nectar.com once you've logged in, and on the back of a plastic card if you have one. If you haven't got a card yet, log in online to find it. When a form asks for it, enter the 11 digits after '3000'.

Can I add my Nectar card to Google Wallet?

Short answer: Yes, from the Nectar app

Yes. In the Nectar app, tap the QR code on the home page, then tap 'Add to wallet' at the bottom of the screen and follow the on-screen instructions. If it won't add, Nectar says to check the steps in your wallet app and then contact them on live chat.

Can I share my Nectar card points with family?

Short answer: Yes, on a shared account

Yes, by sharing one account: up to 99 cardholders can share a Nectar account, all collecting into and spending from the same points balance. If you're the main account holder, Nectar can close an existing card and transfer its points to a shared account; chat to a Nectar help colleague to arrange it. Otherwise the Collector Rules say points can't normally be moved between accounts, and points from two accounts can't be combined for one reward. Check your card's terms.

Can I get a second Nectar card for my household?

Short answer: Yes, up to 99 cardholders

Yes. If you're the main account holder, Nectar can add new cards to your account for family or friends, up to 99 cardholders in all, and everyone shares the same points balance: ask through live chat. The Collector Rules say each additional collector registers their details, must be over 18 unless they're on a parent's or guardian's account, and Nectar may charge a small fee in points or cash for further cards. Check your card's terms.

Can someone else use my Nectar card?

Short answer: Yes, if added to account

Yes, by adding them to your account: anyone issued with a Nectar card for an account can spend its points, unless the main account holder tells Nectar a particular person isn't allowed to. The main account holder is responsible for what additional collectors do and for the security of every card on the account. Nectar can also set someone to collect only, so only you can spend, and Sainsbury's digital Nectar coupons are for the main account holder only. Check your card's terms.

I checked these answers against Nectar's own pages on 13 October 2026. Schemes change their rules, so check your card's terms before you count on one.

Can I keep my Nectar card on my phone with Vouchernaut?

Yes, free. Scan its barcode at vouchernaut.com/cards, or take a photo of it, and it's saved with the barcode drawn sharp for the till. Without an account it stays on that phone; a free account keeps it if you change phones.

Does Vouchernaut add my Nectar card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?

No. Vouchernaut keeps your card in its own wallet in your browser and doesn't make Apple Wallet or Google Wallet passes. For Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, see what Nectar says above.

Can my family use my Nectar card from Vouchernaut?

Yes, if you share it: start a free family, invite the people you shop with and tap Share on the card. It shows on their phones until you stop sharing. Every scheme sets its own rules on who can use a card, so sharing is your call. Check your card's terms.

Will the till scan my Nectar card from my phone?

Most tills read barcodes from a phone screen. Vouchernaut draws the barcode again sharp and checks it reads back as your number before it's marked ready for the till. If one struggles, turn your screen brightness up, or read out the number underneath.

Does Vouchernaut see my points or what I buy?

No. It keeps your card's barcode and number to show at the till. It doesn't read your points or balance, track what you buy or sell anything on.
