Breeze eSIM: what to know before you buy

What does Breeze eSIM sell?

Breeze eSIM sells data-only eSIMs for travel abroad, with no plastic SIM card involved. Plans cover a single country, a region such as Europe or Asia, or many regions at once on a global plan. It also sells a Travel Pass for frequent travellers, one eSIM whose data allowance renews monthly across a list of countries. Plans include fixed allowances, daily allowances and unlimited options, with any speed limits set out on each plan page. The networks a plan uses are listed before checkout, and Breeze says 5G works where the local network and the phone support it. Similar travel eSIMs come from WorldSIM and BambooSIM, among other mobile and SIM-only shops.

Will a Breeze eSIM work on your phone?

It works on a phone that is both eSIM-compatible and network unlocked, and Breeze asks buyers to check both before paying. Its help centre lists compatible devices by brand and explains how to check for a lock, since a locked phone can't use the eSIM until its network unlocks it. Breeze eSIMs also install on some tablets and laptops, including iPads and Windows devices, though one eSIM works on one device at a time.

How do you buy, install and activate it?

The eSIM arrives by email after checkout, with a one-click install on iPhone and Android or a QR code to scan. Breeze suggests installing it at home on Wi-Fi before flying, with data roaming left off on the eSIM until arrival. A plan's validity starts on first use in the destination rather than at purchase, so switching on data roaming for the Breeze eSIM after landing starts it. Payment is by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal, and any live code is entered at checkout.

Can you keep your own number and top up?

Yes. Breeze plans are data only, with no phone number, so a dual-SIM phone keeps its usual SIM active for calls and texts while the eSIM handles data. Calls and texts on that SIM stay subject to the home network's roaming charges, and Breeze advises turning off data roaming on it so data runs through the eSIM. Apps such as WhatsApp and FaceTime run over the eSIM's data. Breeze sends alerts as data runs low, and more can be bought from the account area of its website, used straight away or queued on the same eSIM for a later trip. Breeze says hotspot sharing is included.

Can you get a refund on a Breeze eSIM?

Usually only before the plan starts. Its terms give the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase as long as the plan hasn't been activated, and refunds are requested through the chat assistant in the customer's account. Once a plan has started, a refund isn't guaranteed: the support team reviews each request. Unused data is lost when a plan ends, and a plan never activated expires after a period set in the terms.

Questions about Breeze eSIM

Are there any Breeze eSIM discount codes?

We currently list 1 discount code. Check each offer's terms, country and expiry date before using it. The retailer confirms eligibility at checkout.

Does a Breeze eSIM come with a phone number?

No. Breeze eSIMs are data only, with no number for calls or texts. A dual-SIM phone can keep its usual SIM active for those, and apps such as WhatsApp work over the eSIM's data.

Can I install a Breeze eSIM before I travel?

Yes. Breeze suggests installing it at home on Wi-Fi before flying and leaving data roaming off on the eSIM until arrival. The plan's validity starts on first use in the destination, not at purchase.

Can I use a Breeze eSIM as a hotspot?

Yes. Breeze's help centre says the eSIM's data can be shared with other devices through the phone's personal hotspot setting.

Can I get a refund on a Breeze eSIM?

Its terms allow cancellation within 14 days of purchase if the plan hasn't been activated, requested through the chat assistant in the account. Once a plan has started, the support team reviews each refund request.

Is Breeze eSIM a UK company?

Yes. Its terms say Breeze is a trading name of Breezesim Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with its office in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Support runs through its help centre and live chat.
