Direnza: what to know before you buy

What does Direnza make?

Direnza designs aftermarket parts for the most popular European cars, from makers such as Audi, BMW, Fiat, Ford, Mini, Renault, Porsche, Vauxhall and Volkswagen. The range covers exhausts (back boxes, downpipes, manifolds and full systems), cooling (radiators, intercoolers and fans), air induction kits and filters, lowering springs, engine and gearbox mounts, short shifters, chassis braces and wheel spacers. Its MVT, or Multi-Vane Technology, intercoolers use vanes in the end tank to spread air across more of the core, which Direnza says lowers intake temperatures. The brand also takes on custom parts for special projects. Direnza is a division of Jap Parts Europe, which also runs Japspeed for Japanese cars. For standard replacement parts, Autodoc is the closer match, and more car parts shops are listed together.

How are Direnza parts developed?

Direnza develops and tests its parts in-house. Its engineering page describes measuring the original part and the space around it with a hand-held 3D scanner, drawing the new part in CAD software and 3D-printing prototypes to test fitment on the car. Prototypes then go on a dynamometer to check performance, followed by road and track testing before batch production. The brand also sponsors motorsport teams and uses racing as a test bed for new products. Every Direnza product comes with a 12-month warranty.

Will a Direnza part fit my car?

Each part is listed by make, model, generation and engine, and the site can be browsed by vehicle manufacturer. Direnza's FAQ says the team checks compatibility and recommends parts for a vehicle and its intended use, whether styling, track work or everyday driving, through the contact form, phone or email on weekdays. That is also the place to ask whether a part suits a car used on the road. A part that doesn't fit can be returned if it is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging.

Who fits Direnza parts, and how do delivery and returns work?

Direnza's terms say all items must be installed by a qualified mechanic at a registered garage, or the warranty and returns policy no longer apply, and labour costs aren't covered even for a faulty part. Direnza doesn't fit parts itself but can recommend installers. Website prices include VAT and delivery to the UK mainland, and other addresses can carry extra shipping charges, confirmed before payment. Parcels to the EU leave the UK with the buyer as the importer, responsible for import taxes and charges. Unwanted items can be returned under the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, and Klarna, Clearpay and PayPal Finance are shown on eligible products.

Questions about Direnza

Are there any Direnza discount codes?

We currently list 1 discount code. Check each offer's terms, country and expiry date before using it. The retailer confirms eligibility at checkout.

What cars are Direnza parts made for?

Direnza designs for popular European cars from makers such as Audi, BMW, Ford, Mini, Renault, Vauxhall and Volkswagen. Its MVT intercooler range also covers some Hyundai models.

What warranty do Direnza parts have?

Every Direnza product comes with a 12-month warranty, and faulty goods are repaired or replaced. The terms make fitting by a qualified mechanic at a registered garage a condition of the warranty, and labour costs aren't covered.

Can I return a Direnza part that doesn't fit?

Yes, if it is unused, uninstalled and in its original packaging. Made-to-order or special-order parts may not be returnable.

Does Direnza deliver to Europe?

Its FAQ says international shipping may be offered on selected items. Parcels are sent from the UK, and for EU deliveries the buyer is the importer and pays any import taxes and charges.

What is Direnza MVT?

MVT stands for Multi-Vane Technology, Direnza's intercooler design. Vanes in the end tank direct air across a larger area of the core, which Direnza says reduces intake temperatures.
