Fidelis is a fresh dog food brand whose food comes in glass jars rather than chilled or frozen packs. Each Fresh Menu is a 400g jar of meat and offal steam-cooked at 90°C, with vegetables and fruit only blanched, then sealed and sterilised so it keeps in a cupboard for 12 months unopened. There are 11 recipes built on 10 proteins: beef, chicken (two recipes), pork, salmon, duck, turkey, rabbit, lamb, goat and horse. Three mixed packs suit fussy eaters, and the Mixed Selection Variety leaves out chicken, beef and pork for dogs that react to them. Alongside the jars, Fidelis sells air-dried menus in 1kg to 5kg bags, natural chews such as bully sticks, rabbit ears and cod-skin sticks, and training treats from £3.99 a 100g bag. The brand describes the Fresh Menus as complete and balanced, while the air-dried bags are labelled complementary feed, meant to go alongside other food.
Fidelis traces its story to 2016, when Christian adopted his dog Pippa; neither kibble nor raw food suited her, so he started cooking for her himself. Reiner Hauf joined and developed the cooking method in 2020 and the brand launched in 2022, with recipes developed with Anita Kröger, a holistic vet who founded the Centre for Canine Health. Everything is made in the company's own kitchen in Poland from European ingredients bought from the human food chain, and UK orders are handled by Kitchme Pet Brands Limited in Glasgow. The independent database All About Dog Food gave the range an average rating of 92% in August 2026. On Trustpilot it scored 4.2 out of 5 from nine reviews in October 2026: reviewers praise fussy dogs clearing their bowls and jars that need no freezer, while the lower scores describe a delayed order and stock that arrived past its date in January 2026, which the company blamed on a printing error.
For owners who want cooked fresh food but have no freezer space, the jars solve a real problem; the cost is the catch. Six-jar packs cost £23.99 (pork and both chicken recipes) to £26.99 (rabbit, lamb, goat and horse) in October 2026, about £4.00 to £4.50 a jar. Fidelis's feeding guide puts a 20kg dog at roughly one jar a day and a 10kg dog at about half, so a medium dog fed only Fresh Menu costs around £4 a day before any discount. Packs of 12 or 18 bring the per-jar price down a little (18 jars of beef were £72.99). Fidelis says many owners use the food as a topper over dry food instead, reducing both portions to match.
Orders placed before 2pm on a weekday usually leave the same day, travel with InPost and take two to four working days. Standard delivery is £4.99, or free on orders of £49 and over; express delivery (one to two working days) costs extra, listed at £7.99, or £3.99 on orders over £49, on the Shipping & Returns page in October 2026. Fidelis delivers to the whole of the UK, including the Scottish Highlands, the Scottish islands and the Channel Islands, with no surcharge. Returns follow the 14-day cancellation right but only for unopened items with the seal intact, and the customer pays return postage unless something is faulty. Damaged or faulty items can be reported even after opening, and Fidelis then collects them or refunds the postage and offers a replacement or refund.
Subscribe & Save is the steadiest saving: 5% off the first subscription order, 10% off the second and 15% off every order after that, delivered every 1 to 12 weeks, with no minimum number of orders and no cancellation fee. The FAQ says newsletter sign-ups get a 10% code for a first order. The codes on this page have tended to be money off above a spend threshold or a discounted mixed bundle. Since every six-pack sits under the £49 free-delivery line, a 12-pack, or six jars plus some chews, avoids the £4.99 delivery charge.

Not until it's opened: sealed jars keep in a cool, dry cupboard for 12 months. Once open, the FAQ says to reseal the jar, refrigerate it and use it within three to four days.
Fidelis suggests about one 400g jar a day for a 20kg dog and half a jar for a 10kg dog. With six-packs at £4.00 to £4.50 a jar in October 2026, a 20kg dog fed only Fresh Menu costs around £4 a day before discounts.

The brand says its recipes are at least half meat or fish and its dry dog food is made in Yorkshire. A 2kg bag cost about £12 to £15 in October 2026.
