What does Gravity Performance sell?

Gravity Performance sells aftermarket upgrades for modified cars, built around exhausts, air induction, cooling, suspension, chassis parts and body styling. The exhaust range runs from back boxes and full systems to downpipes and manifolds. Cooling covers radiators, intercooler kits, fans, oil coolers and silicone hoses, and suspension covers coilover kits, lowering springs, adjustable arms and drop links. The shop also stocks Direnza induction kits, intercoolers and wheel spacers, plus race ramps, clothing and decals. Gravity Performance has traded since 2004 and is a division of Jap Parts Europe, which also runs Japspeed, a shop focused on Japanese cars. For standard replacement and service parts rather than upgrades, Autodoc is the closer fit, and other car parts shops are listed together.

Will a part fit my car?

Each product page lists the makes, models and years a part is compatible with, and some add notes, such as a part fitting four-wheel-drive models only. The site can also be browsed by vehicle manufacturer, from Audi and BMW to Honda, Subaru and Volkswagen. The FAQ says the team gives compatibility checks and product advice before an order, by phone or email on weekdays, and that is also the place to ask whether a part suits a car used on the road. A part that doesn't fit can be returned if it is unused and in its original packaging, and painted items can't be returned, so test-fitting comes before any painting.

Can I fit Gravity Performance parts myself?

The terms say all items must be installed by a qualified mechanic at a registered garage, and that fitting them any other way invalidates the warranty and returns policy. The FAQ adds that many products come with fitting instructions and that some upgrades need specialist tools or professional fitting. Gravity Performance doesn't offer installation itself, though the team can recommend fitters. Labour costs for fitting aren't covered, even when a part turns out to be faulty. For a newer car still under the manufacturer's warranty, the FAQ suggests checking with the dealer before modifying it.

How do delivery, returns and warranty work?

Prices on the site include VAT and delivery to the UK mainland. Other addresses may carry an extra shipping charge, which the company confirms before taking payment, and international orders are sent on a delivered-at-place basis, so import taxes and duties are paid by the buyer on arrival. Orders come with tracking, and large items travel by specialist courier. Faulty goods are repaired or replaced within 12 months of purchase. Unwanted items can be sent back under the 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, while made-to-order and special-order parts may not be returnable.
