Is Disney+ worth it?
Our note
On 14 October 2026, What Hi-Fi? reported that Disney+ raised every UK monthly tier: Standard with Ads to £6.99, Standard to £11.99 and Premium to £15.99 a month. That makes the price rise part of the decision about keeping it. T3 said existing monthly subscribers would pay the new price from 18 November 2026; annual subscribers from 2 December 2026, or when their plan expires if later.
I checked Disney's UK plan page on 30 October 2026. It listed films and series from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, Hulu, National Geographic and FX. Premium allowed up to 4K UHD and HDR on four screens at once; Standard and Standard with Ads offered Full HD on two. T3's 14 October 2026 report put annual Standard at £119.90 and Premium at £159.90. There is a catch even above the ad tier: Disney says all plans carry its promotions and sponsorship, and may show some other ads around playback or in live and third-party content. The choice for my household hinges on which shows we would watch, how many screens we need and what that plan costs.
