About it
From Viator's listing
Discover Gloucester’s remarkable past on this self-guided walking tour, tracing the city’s journey from Roman origins to medieval triumphs and beyond. Begin at the Cross, the heart of Roman Gloucester, and explore key landmarks like the Crypt School, Blackfriars Priory, and the Cathedral Quarter. Along the way, hear stories of Viking raids, civil war sieges, and Gloucester’s role in shaping British history. You’ll walk in the footsteps of literary legends and historical figures like Dick Whittington and Aethelflaed. This 120-minute tour offers a deep dive into Gloucester’s resilience, religious upheaval, and the iconic locations that make the city a living testament to over 2,000 years of history.

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: Viator. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in the Cotswolds: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
