About it

From Viator's listing

Experience the magic of GPS playback on this immersive stroll through Tewkesbury. On this self-guided audio tour, you'll Gallivant with tour producer Owen Bowles through the tiny Tudor town that was once home to 101 pubs. On this tour, I’ll tell you how the industrial revolution by-passed the town, leaving us with over 350 listed buildings of special architectural and historical interest today, many of them timber-framed Tudor houses. You’ll learn why Tewkesbury once was home to 101 pubs. Hear the fate of the Lancastrian lords who claimed sanctuary in the abbey after the Battle of Tewkesbury and learn about the turbulent religious history of England and how it ties into this lovely little medieval town. You'll also discover where you can find the largest number of exquisitely decorated medieval tombs outside of London, and why Tewkesbury Abbey has been described as ‘the Westminster Abbey of the Feudal Baronage.' Also, find out how the town’s mustard balls became nationally famous!

How I list these

Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: Viator. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in the Cotswolds: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.

Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.

A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.

I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
