IKEA Family Signing in, the app, a lost card and sharing points

IKEA Family is the free membership club at IKEA, open to UK residents aged 18 or over. Members get discounts on food and purchases, a free tea or filter coffee in IKEA restaurants Monday to Friday, and 1 point for every £5 spent in store, online and in the restaurants, which unlock rewards such as money off delivery, food and purchases.

Free. I keep your card's barcode ready for the till. I'm not IKEA's app, so I can't see your points.

How do I register my IKEA Family card and sign in?

Short answer: Join free online or in-store

Join free on the IKEA website or in the IKEA app by filling in your name and email address and choosing a password, or in store at an IKEA Family digital screen or with a co-worker. You get a digital card straight away. You sign in at ikea.com or in the app with your email and password or a one-time code.

Is there an IKEA Family card app?

Short answer: Yes, in the IKEA app

Yes. Log in to your IKEA Family account in the IKEA app for iOS or Android and your digital IKEA Family card is there to scan at the checkout. IKEA no longer issues new physical cards, and at the till you can also identify yourself with your phone number or email address instead.

I've lost my IKEA Family card. What do I do?

Short answer: Use the digital card

Use the digital card in the IKEA app, or give your phone number or email address at the till: IKEA no longer issues new physical IKEA Family cards, and says you can always use those options if you lose yours. IKEA's terms still ask you to report a lost physical card to IKEA customer support straight away. Your points show in your IKEA Family account.

Can I share my IKEA Family card points with family?

Short answer: No

No. IKEA Family points can't be transferred, and IKEA says two separate IKEA Family accounts can't be merged or combined, nor can data like purchase history move between them. Check your card's terms.

Can I get a second IKEA Family card for my household?

Short answer: One account per person

One account per person. IKEA's terms allow one IKEA Family membership per individual at any one time, and IKEA asks each member to have their own account, so anyone else aged 18 or over who wants the benefits joins separately, for free. Check your card's terms.

Can someone else use my IKEA Family card?

Short answer: Personal use only

IKEA's terms say the IKEA Family account is for personal use only, and that your account and card, digital or physical, can't be transferred to another person; you're responsible for everything done on your account. A partner or family member aged 18 or over can join for free and use their own card. Check your card's terms.

I checked these answers against IKEA's own pages on 13 October 2026. Schemes change their rules, so check your card's terms before you count on one.

Questions people ask

Can someone else use my IKEA Family card?

IKEA's terms say the IKEA Family account is for personal use only, and that your account and card, digital or physical, can't be transferred to another person; you're responsible for everything done on your account. A partner or family member aged 18 or over can join for free and use their own card. Check your card's terms.

Can I keep my IKEA Family card on my phone with Vouchernaut?

Yes, free. Scan its barcode at vouchernaut.com/cards, or take a photo of it, and it's saved with the barcode drawn sharp for the till. Without an account it stays on that phone; a free account keeps it if you change phones.

Does Vouchernaut add my IKEA Family card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet?

No. Vouchernaut keeps your card in its own wallet in your browser and doesn't make Apple Wallet or Google Wallet passes.

Can my family use my IKEA Family card from Vouchernaut?

Yes, if you share it: start a free family, invite the people you shop with and tap Share on the card. It shows on their phones until you stop sharing. Every scheme sets its own rules on who can use a card, so sharing is your call. Check your card's terms.

Will the till scan my IKEA Family card from my phone?

Most tills read barcodes from a phone screen. Vouchernaut draws the barcode again sharp and checks it reads back as your number before it's marked ready for the till. If one struggles, turn your screen brightness up, or read out the number underneath.

Does Vouchernaut see my points or what I buy?

No. It keeps your card's barcode and number to show at the till. It doesn't read your points or balance, track what you buy or sell anything on.
