Fix-A-Floor: what to know before you buy

What does Fix-A-Floor sell? Fix-A-Floor sells a bonding adhesive that is injected through small holes drilled in the grout lines to re-bond loose or hollow tiles and squeaky wooden floors. The repair takes a drill, a caulking gun and a little grout; the company says the adhesive needs about 24 hours to cure before the holes are re-grouted, and that it can be used over underfloor heating.

The adhesive is the same in every format, and only the applicator changes: - Standard 300ml bottles with a tip cut to size, used in a caulking gun - Bottles with a micro precision injector for grout lines around 2mm wide - Squeezable 300ml tubes that need no caulking gun - 3.8 litre and 5 litre tubs, applied with refillable syringes or a contractor's gun

The site also stocks tools and accessories such as caulking guns, syringe kits, diamond drill bits and residue remover. Since Red Devil, an American maker of sealants and repair tools, bought the brand in 2025, the UK site has also carried the Red Devil range: silicone sealants, caulks, fillers, tile grout, glazing tools and decorating tools.

How much does Fix-A-Floor cost? A single 300ml bottle of Fix-A-Floor cost £12.99 in October 2026, with VAT included. Other prices that month: - Squeezable 300ml tube: £13.75 - 300ml bottle with micro precision injector kit: £14.50 - 3.8 litre tub: £109.99, or £118.99 with three syringe kits - 5 litre tub: £139.99, or £148.99 with three syringe kits - 10:1 caulking gun: £12.99 - 60ml syringe kit: £3.99 - Pro Repair Pack: £46.99

Red Devil products mostly cost between £6.99 and £19.99.

How much adhesive does a repair need? The company puts the coverage of one 300ml bottle at about 4 square feet, though the real amount depends on how deep the void under the floor is. The adhesive is very fluid and spreads under the tiles until it appears at the next drilled hole, so a deep or wide void takes more. Every bottle has a cap that keeps leftover adhesive usable for later repairs, which makes buying a little extra less wasteful.

How can you spend less at Fix-A-Floor? Buying in multiples is the main saving at Fix-A-Floor, because the price per bottle falls with pack size. Worked out from October 2026 prices for the standard 300ml bottle: - Single: £12.99 - Pack of 3: £35.99, or £12 a bottle - Pack of 4: £45.99, or £11.50 a bottle - Pack of 6: £69.99, or about £11.67 a bottle - Box of 12: £134.99, or about £11.25 a bottle

The pack of 4 works out cheaper per bottle than the pack of 6. For a large floor, the tubs bring the cost down further: the 5 litre tub holds the equivalent of about 16 bottles, at roughly £8.40 per 300ml. The Pro Repair Pack bundles three bottles, a caulking gun, a micro injector with a diamond drill bit and a syringe kit for £46.99, shown against a crossed-out £52.97. The site also offers new email subscribers a discount on sign-up.

How much is delivery? Standard UK delivery is free on orders over £10, and orders placed before 12 noon on a weekday are usually dispatched the same day. Standard parcels normally arrive within 2 to 3 working days of dispatch, with up to 5 allowed at busy times. A next working day option is offered at checkout for mainland UK orders placed before 12pm, and the shipping policy says orders over £30 go on a next working day service anyway.

Carriers include Royal Mail, Evri, Interlink and Parcelforce, and some orders are sent through Amazon fulfilment. The terms say delivery covers mainland Great Britain and Northern Ireland, while the product pages mention selected international destinations priced at checkout. Once an order is with the courier it can't be cancelled without paying the shipping.

What is Fix-A-Floor's returns policy? Unwanted items can be returned within 14 working days of delivery if they are unused, unopened and complete, but the customer pays the return postage. A Return Merchandise Authorisation number is needed first, from customer services on 0121 270 8883 or through the contact form, and the goods must then be sent within 14 days.

The main conditions: - Damaged parcels should be reported within 72 hours, and missing or wrong items within 3 days - A replacement for a damaged item is sent once the original has been returned and inspected - Returned goods should travel in their original packaging, by a tracked or insured service - Items damaged through accident, neglect or misuse can't be returned
