Medino: what to know before you buy
The story
Medino began with a to-do list. Its founder was rushing home from work with a sore throat and a need for dental floss, and realised the pharmacy run was the one errand still done the old way. Groceries and clothes had gone digital, so he set out to do the same for health and beauty, with the quality you would expect from a traditional pharmacy. The company calls itself the pharmacy in your phone.
The range
The shop is wide. There are over-the-counter treatments for colds, allergies, aches and stomach complaints, plus vitamins and supplements, skincare, haircare, make-up, oral care and first aid. It also covers baby and pregnancy products, sexual health, travel health and pet care, with prescription and weight loss services on the site as well. You can shop by category, by brand or by condition.
Delivery
Medino sends most orders by Royal Mail tracked, and every delivery is tracked. You can choose a faster service, including next-day tracked, and pick a safe place or text alerts. Orders placed on a weekday before the evening cut-off are packed and despatched the same day. Charges and thresholds change, so check the shipping page or your basket.
Returns
Ask for a return on the site first. Support will approve it by email, and then you post it back within the window on their returns page, keeping proof of postage. As a pharmacy, Medino can't take back opened or dispensed medicines, cosmetics such as make-up and perfume, damaged items, or anything close to its expiry date. Return postage is yours, though Medino can arrange it for a small deduction.
