PrettyLittleThing: what to know before you buy

The story

PrettyLittleThing was co-founded in 2012 by brothers Adam and Umar Kamani in Manchester. It began as an accessories brand, then grew quickly into clothing, and became known for its hot pink branding and unicorn logo. It now trades in many countries, with offices in London and Paris.

The range

The focus is trend-led fashion for going out and everyday wear. You'll find dresses, tops, co-ords, knitwear, coats and jackets, denim, athleisure, swimwear, lingerie, shoes and accessories, along with beauty and some homeware. The brand says it combines catwalk-inspired designs with its own in-house ideas, moving quickly with trends, so the best buys are often the pieces you want for the season rather than a decade. A few lines come from partner brands sold on the site.

Finding your fit

The site has shop-by-fit ranges: PLT Plus, PLT Petite, PLT Shape and PLT Tall. If a standard cut doesn't suit you, start in one of those, and use the size guide on the site as cuts can differ between ranges.

Delivery

Several UK delivery options are offered, from standard and express to next day, with a locker option too. Costs and times for each are on its delivery page and shown at checkout, as are cut-off times for next-day orders. Royalty is its paid membership, which covers faster delivery options and returns.

Returns

Returns go through an online portal, and a fee is taken from the refund per parcel. You need to send items back within the window in the returns policy, unworn and unwashed with labels attached. Swimwear, lingerie, cosmetics and pierced jewellery can't be refunded once the hygiene seal is broken. There's no exchange facility, so you return and reorder.

Saving

Live codes for PrettyLittleThing are listed on this page. Copy one and enter it at checkout. The retailer also runs student discount and refer-a-friend schemes.
