Purple Parking: shoppers' questions
Questions about Purple Parking, answered by us and by readers who've shopped there.
What is Purple Parking's cancellation policy?
Our answerIt depends on the rate booked. Free Cancellation parking can be cancelled for a voucher worth the full booking value, which can be swapped for a cash refund to the original card within 14 days of issue; if you cancel 7 days or more after booking, £10 is kept as account credit, and cancellations on the arrival date get no cash refund. Saver bookings can be changed or cancelled for a voucher to rebook the same product, with no refund. Supersaver bookings can't be changed or cancelled. The booking terms set the cut-off for parking at 2 hours before the booked arrival time.

Our answerYes. Purple Parking offers students a discount on UK airport parking, airport hotels and lounges through Student Beans, at airports including Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester, Stansted and Birmingham. Students verify their status with Student Beans to get it, and the rate depends on the product and the car park. Student Beans also offers a Purple Parking discount to graduates through Grad Beans for up to five years after they graduate.

Is Purple Parking legit?
Our answerPurple Parking's website is run by Holiday Extras Limited, company number 01693250, registered at Newingreen, Hythe, Kent, which its booking terms name as the company you book with. It acts as a booking agent: your contract for the car park, hotel or lounge is with the company that provides it, under that provider's own terms. Its site shows Visa, Mastercard and American Express as accepted cards. Free Cancellation and Saver parking bookings can be changed or cancelled up to 2 hours before the booked arrival time, while Supersaver bookings can't be cancelled.

Does Purple Parking do an NHS or Blue Light Card discount?
Our answerYes, through two schemes. Health Service Discounts, which is free for NHS and healthcare staff, lists a Purple Parking discount on airport parking, with the rate depending on the car park and some car parks excluded, and 10% off airport lounges. Blue Light Card members get a Purple Parking discount on online airport parking bookings at many major UK airports. Blue Light Card is open to people working in the NHS, emergency services, armed forces, social care and education, and costs £4.99 for two years.
