tails.com: what to know before you buy
What makes it different
Most dog food is bought off a shelf in a single formula for a whole range of dogs. Tails.com instead describes creating a recipe for each dog, based on the flavours the dog enjoys and the nutrition it needs. If your dog is fussy or has specific dietary needs, this individual approach is the main reason to look at the service.
Who it suits
The offer is clearly built around regular feeding. Automatic monthly deliveries mean it works best for owners who want to set up a routine and stop reordering. If you prefer to buy food occasionally, switch brands often, or compare prices across several sellers, a subscription model may feel less flexible than a store you visit when you need a bag.
Checking the detail before you commit
The supplied information confirms the food is supported by vets and nutritionists and that delivery is free, with monthly deliveries set up automatically. Before subscribing, check the current delivery and cancellation terms on the official website, as these are the points most likely to affect what you pay and how easily you can change your order.
Making the choice
Tails.com suits owners who value personalisation and want someone else to handle regular orders. Compare it with your current food's ingredients and your dog's feeding needs, and speak to your vet if your dog has a medical condition before changing its diet.
