Twinings Teashop: what to know before you buy
Choosing the right range
Twinings groups its teas into clear families, so start with the type you actually drink. Black tea is the robust choice for a morning cup, while green tea suits a lighter, more delicate daily habit. Fruit and herbal infusions are naturally caffeine free, which matters if you are buying for an evening routine. The Superblends line is aimed at people looking for a particular mood or wind-down routine rather than a traditional flavour, so read the envelope description before you order.
Loose leaf or teabags
If you brew a pot for several people, loose leaf tea gives you more control over strength and infusion. Teabags are simpler for a single cup at work or at home. Sparkling tea is a separate product type and is not interchangeable with standard blends, so check the product page before adding it to a basket.
Delivery options for UK orders
UK standard delivery is listed at £3.95, with free postage on some orders, and the site says to allow around five working days from despatch. Express delivery is £6.95 and aims for two working days, but the site states it does not guarantee next-day arrival. Royal Mail tracked delivery includes photo-on-delivery and tracking notifications if you give a mobile number or email at checkout. Working days exclude weekends and bank holidays, so factor that in if you need a parcel by a particular date.
Cancelling and returns
You can cancel most orders within 14 days of delivery, but you must pay to return the items yourself. Opened, consumed, or personalised products, and perishable goods such as biscuits and preserves, cannot be cancelled or refunded unless they are faulty. Faulty goods can be returned for a full refund, including delivery costs, within six months of purchase. Keep your order number handy, as it counts as proof of purchase.
