Choosing home gym kit

The range is broad, so start with what you actually plan to do. For strength training at home, the site groups equipment under weight training, including dumbbells, dumbbell sets, kettlebells, pull up bars, lifting belts and lifting gloves. Adjustable and fixed dumbbells work differently: adjustable sets suit people who want to progress without buying a rack of pairs, while fixed weights are simpler to grab mid-session. The store's own buying guides cover weights, types and how to choose a first pair, which is worth reading before you commit.

Benches and larger equipment

Benches are where the price and the specification diverge most. Multi-function barbell benches and bench attachments such as preacher curl pads are aimed at people building a home set-up over time, while lighter cardio steps and decks cover lower-impact conditioning. Check whether a product is described for home or commercial use, because the store states that its warranties cover domestic use only unless a listing says otherwise. If you need equipment for a gym or classroom, contact the team before buying rather than assuming a home listing will suffice.

Yoga, cardio and recovery

For yoga, the range covers mats, blocks, straps and bags, which is useful if you are starting out and want the essentials in one order. Skipping ropes and cardio steps offer a cheaper route into conditioning work at home. Many shoppers will find the expert support useful when choosing between similar-looking products, especially where specifications differ by weight or adjustability.

Delivery and returns

The terms state free delivery across the whole of the UK, with express delivery available for a small surcharge on selected items. Larger products are often delivered flat-packed and need assembly, and the one-man delivery service usually stops at ground level or kerbside rather than taking items inside. Most items come with a 30-day returns guarantee, but you will need to email to start the process, and you pay return postage unless goods are faulty.
