About the event
From See Tickets's listing
Antarctic MonkeysThe Crescent, YorkSaturday 3rd April, 7.30pm *This is a standing show* Formed in March 2006 from a jamming session, the Antarctic Monkeys became a phenomenon in their own right, travelling the UK and Europe with numerous tours. The demand is now more than ever. Firmly established on the tribute scene, their live show has the power, passion and the creative edge to whip audiences into a frenzy when delivering the powerful tunes of the Arctic Monkeys as the way they should be. Their reputation grew very quickly and in 2009 received approval from close relations to the Arctic's as well as Chris McClure (from the front cover of the album 'Whatever People Say I am, That's What I'm Not' and brother of lead singer - Jon McClure, from Reverend and the Makers). There have been too many highlights to mention them all but main ones include Rock Revolution in Sicily, Oxegen Festival 2010 in Ireland and the Liverpool Mathew Street Festival, playing in front of 50,000 plus people as well as interviews and appearances in Q Magazine, MTV and Sky News. Rarely is there a tribute band that can rival the original yet these 4 lads mimic Turner, Cook, O'Mally and Helders style perfectly.

How I list these
Everything here comes from the feeds of the ticket and experience sellers I work with: See Tickets. That's a lot, but it isn't everything on in York: venues that sell their own tickets, or sell through sellers whose feeds don't reach me, won't show here yet.
Events are in date order, and a show on several dates appears once, on its first, with how many more there are. Things to do any day start with the seller's own UK picks, then those rated 4.5 or more, guided before self-guided, shared before private, then by rating and price. Every ticket link is an ad: if you buy, the seller may pay me commission, at no cost to you. Commission never changes what's listed or the order.
A price is the seller's lowest for one ticket (or one person, when two book a tour together), as its feed gives it, and I've checked on each seller's own pages what it covers. See Tickets's includes its booking fee, and it adds an order fee to each booking (£1.25 to £4 on the events I checked), which I show beside the price. Where I haven't checked what a seller's price covers, or its feed is more than a day and a half old, I show no price at all.
I don't list resold tickets for football in England and Wales, or for any match in a UEFA or FIFA competition: selling or advertising them without the organiser's permission is a crime (section 166 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994). Times are UK times. Events change and sell out, so the seller's page is the final word.
