What does 47 Skin sell?
47 Skin sells skincare for spots, blemishes and the marks they leave, and every product contains Silver Chitoderm, a patented bond of silver and Chitoderm that only this brand uses. The founder, Nic Taylor, tracked the formula down to a group of Yorkshire scientists after his grandmother posted him a pot of cream, and the brand launched in 2018.
In October 2026 the Anti-Blemish & Scar Repair Serum, its best seller, cost £29 for 30ml, rising to £45 for 50ml and £76 for 100ml. Around it sit the Everyday Cleanser (£29 for 150ml), the peel-off Silver Mask (£24 for 30ml), the oil-free Daily Moisturiser (£34 for 60ml), a Daily SPF 30 (£24 for 30ml) and a body moisturiser and wash. A separate Intensive range for adults, such as the Treatment Serum (£37) and Exfoliating Skin Treatment (£39), uses salicylic and azelaic acid. The brand says it has been in Harrods since 2023 and in more than 200 Boots stores since 2024.
Who is it for, and what does the brand claim?
It is aimed at blemish-prone and sensitive skin, and the brand says most products suit anyone from age 3, with the Intensive range limited to over-18s. Its headline claims are that Silver Chitoderm kills 99.9% of breakout-causing bacteria and that the serum reduced blemishes by 47% in what it describes as an independent 12-week study of 30 adults. Those are the company's own figures from a small study, and results in reviews vary.
Two groups should read the small print. Chitoderm comes from crustacean shells, and the brand advises people with a shellfish allergy against using its products. It also says the salicylic and azelaic acid products are not for use while pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive.
How do delivery and returns work?
UK standard delivery by Royal Mail costs £4.49 and arrives within five business days, and it is free on orders over £30. Priority delivery costs £6.49 for one to two business days. Orders are processed within 48 hours and sent from Northampton. International orders go by FedEx with duties paid at checkout, though it wasn't shipping to Spain in October 2026.
Opened cosmetics can't be returned. For unopened items, customer care needs to hear from you within 30 days of delivery, and the parcel has to reach 47 Skin within seven working days of the return address being sent.
How does the 47-day guarantee work?
The guarantee is what makes a first order low-risk. On a first order per household from 47skin.com, UK and US customers who have used a product for at least 30 days and aren't happy can claim a refund by email between day 30 and day 47, without sending anything back. It covers one unit of each product, and it doesn't apply to Boots, Harrods or Amazon purchases or to repeat subscription deliveries. Trial sizes lower the stakes further: a 15ml serum (about two weeks' use) was £16 and a 30ml cleanser £9 in October 2026.
How can you pay less at 47 Skin?
The codes and deals on this page are the quickest saving, and the site adds several standing ones. Signing up to its emails brings 10% off a first full-price order. Subscribe and Save takes 15% off every delivery, sends one every four weeks, includes free UK delivery on the first subscription order and can be edited, skipped or cancelled at any time. Bundles cost around 10% less than buying each item: the 3 Step Moisture Bundle (serum, cleanser and moisturiser) was £83 against £92 separately. A referral link gives a friend 25% off their first order and the referrer 25% off their next. Grazia reported a 2025 Black Friday sale of 20% off everything, with an extra 10% off bundles, from 14 November to 1 December.
What do customers say?
Reviews lean strongly positive. In October 2026 47 Skin held 4.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 5,599 reviews, with 78% at five stars and 9% at one star. Recent reviewers praise clearer skin and quick replies on live chat and email; the complaints are about products that made no difference for some people, a lost express parcel with a slow refund, subscription refund requests and thick formulas that are hard to get out of pump bottles.
